TOP SHELF SELECTION:
Michael David Inkblot 2011 Cabernet Franc - Lodi. One of the few Cabernet Franc's produced from Lodi, this varietal originated from the Bordeaux and Loire Valley regions of France and has been grown with success in many other countries. Displays a pronounced perfume with notes of raspberries, black currant, violet, and graphite.
WHITE WINE SELECTION:
Lois 2012 Grüner Veltliner - Austria. Lois (rhymes with “choice”) is purely aromatic and lively! Lovely aromas of fresh apples and citrus, this wine surprises on the palate with great spice components as well as exotic fruit and a refreshing acidity. A great summer wine. 90 points, Wine & Spirits
Michel Girard 2012 Sancerre - Loire Valley, France. This Sauvignon Blanc wine is bright, lively, pleasantly aromatic, has zippy acidity but low astringency. Fresh pear and orange on the nose. Pliant, refreshingly bitter citrus fruit flavors are firmed by tangy minerality and pick up a light herbal quality with air. Appealingly sweet on the finish, which repeats the orange and herb notes.
St. Francis 2012 Chardonnay - Sonoma. Aromas of fresh melon combine with hints of hazelnut and citrus. This medium-bodied Chardonnay displays fresh flavors of butterscotch and pineapple, followed by crisp acidity and a rich, lingering finish.
RED WINE SELECTION:
Pinot Project 2012 Pinot Noir - California. This Pinot is hand-crafted from grapes grown in Sonoma County, Carneros and Monterey. The Pinot Project has a full and silky mouth feel, with just the right amount of acidity. Fruit forward, soft and silky.
Michael David 2011 Petite Petit Sirah - Lodi. "A huge, smart and memorable wine that blends 85% Petite Sirah and 15% Petit Verdot. In the center ring is a match of dry, powdered cocoa tannins. Orange peel zest, raspberry and blackberry are merry under the big top, rich with vanilla and a surprising dry finish. " 90 Points Tasting Panel
Silver Palm 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon - North Coast, CA. This Cabernet Sauvignon is dark ruby in color, with aromas of Bing cherry and cassis. Flavors of menthol, spice and oak with round firm tannins lead to a soft, silky, lingering finish.
